Has anybody else noticed Runescape asking you to download something?
My girlfriend and I tried to play, recently, and it asked her to download a client. She suspected a click-jacker attack and cancelled the transaction after she tried to use it. Are you aware of what is going on, and would you be so kind as to explain?

No, Runescape usually doesn't ask you to download anything other than updates to Java. If they ask you to download anything other than Java, dont do it.

If you're getting emails about that sort of stuff, it's fake. They would only advertise their downloadable client and to update java on their website.

What it means is that you either don't have Java installed, or your browser isn't supporting the game for some reason. I have to use the client in order to play the game myself. Just make sure you're downloading from the website or a link approved by them.
